Prepare literature first, then let the Literature Agent process it.

The Literature Agent reads PDFs, Word files, Markdown files, reference lists, and literature ledgers in the project. It organizes reviews, citation formats, method synthesis, and evidence boundaries. Open a project first and place the literature in it.

Applies to QiyanAgent V3.5. Last updated: September 14, 2026.

V3.5 Literature Agent steps screenshot (annotations 1–5): prepare literature materials, choose Literature Agent capabilities, add Skills when needed, enter a literature-analysis prompt, and send the task.

Before You Start

  • Open a project and place literature materials in it, such as PDFs, Word files, Markdown notes, reference lists, or literature ledgers.
  • Use filenames that include author, year, and topic when possible so the Agent can identify the material scope.
  • State the review scope in advance, including research topic, time range, journal range, method range, or evidence boundary.

Steps

  1. Switch to the Literature workspace on the left and review packages for literature reviews, literature ledgers, citation formats, evidence analysis, method synthesis, and writing output.
  2. Activate a Literature Agent capability package manually, or describe the goal and let the Agent decide whether to load the relevant capability.
  3. To review capabilities, open Settings → Skills and switch to the Literature Agent. Built-in Skills sync automatically when the project opens; use Import only when you need to add capabilities.
  4. Enter a literature-analysis prompt at the bottom with the literature location, review scope, output format, and citation requirements.
  5. Click Send to let the Literature Agent read the materials and produce the result.

Acceptance Checks

The output should include a literature list, core arguments, evidence sources, citation or page clues, and directions for missing literature. For writing tasks, it should also provide review structure, evidence excerpts, and traceable sources.
