Provide evidence before asking the Paper Writing Agent to organize text.

The Paper Writing Agent develops the paper storyline, drafts sections, binds claims to evidence, explains results, and handles journal fit and revision responses. It should work only from drafts, tables, figures, literature, and journal requirements in the current project, and must not invent citations, data, or conclusions.

Applies to QiyanAgent V3.5. Last updated: September 14, 2026.

Paper Writing Agent steps: prepare project materials, choose writing capabilities and confirm built-in Skills, enter section goals and evidence scope, and send the task.

Before You Start

  • Place the paper draft, result tables, figures, and target journal instructions in the project folder.
  • State the writing language, target length, section scope, and citation format.
  • Mark which conclusions are backed by evidence and which are still hypotheses, so unsupported claims are not generated.

Steps

  1. In the Paper Writing workspace, review packages for paper storylines, contribution statements, titles and abstracts, section drafts, method explanations, claim evidence, result interpretation, journal revisions, replication reports, submission matching, and consistency checks.
  2. Activate a writing package manually, or describe the section goal and material scope so the Agent can choose the needed writing capability.
  3. To review capabilities, open Settings → Skills and switch to the Paper Writing Agent. Built-in Skills sync automatically; use Import only to add journal-fit or revision capabilities.
  4. Enter a writing prompt with target section, evidence materials, tone, length range, and output format.
  5. Click the send button and let the Paper Writing Agent organize the storyline, draft or revise the section, and bind claims to evidence.

Acceptance Checks

Outputs should trace back to project materials. Each key claim should link to literature, data results, or figure evidence. Check citations, terminology, variable names, conclusion strength, and target journal requirements after completion.
